About

Hello. I’m Lewis Edward Wadsworth IV, sometime architect, photographer, and artist. I am a native of Flagler County, Florida, where I grew up on the unusual historic property now referred to as the Princess Place Preserve. I currently reside in Boston, Massachusetts.

Dartmouth College, Hanover, New Hampshire: A.B. Visual Studies 1990

Yale School of Architecture, New Haven, Connecticut: M.Arch. I 2005

I’ve worked at various architectural firms in the Boston area as a designer and illustrator, and for eight years (2006-2014) I taught computer modeling and design at the Boston Architectural College. I have also collaborated with other architects in places as distant as Japan and Australia.

This is my personal portfolio and journal, created in lieu of any corporate or other social media account.

If I had to succinctly describe my own favorite projects, I would summarize them as architecture-adjacent art. The works presented here are those that I have designed or created solely myself or for myself, unless otherwise noted, and furthermore (once again, unless otherwise noted) any building designs should be considered unrealized, speculative, theoretical, or simply oneiric.

I have traveled extensively for personal and professional reasons, and the posts here under the category “Journal” are generally (but not always) transcriptions of brief notes that I made along with photographs that I took during my travels.

Any opinions presented in this website are also entirely my own and do not reflect those of any individual, client, employer, or institution with which I have been associated.

Feel free to communicate any questions or concerns either through the Comments section following any individual project or journal post, or through this website’s Contact page.
