Another day, another monastery.
Well, no, these places are more distinct than that implied. But some parts of Hasa-dera are restricted, in terms of photography. So I spent time on items that interested me outside of the main Kannon-do.

And my interests are consistent. I’m wondering if I am becoming a bit predictable, in a morbid sort of way, as a photographer and an artist. Weather-worn statues, slightly-ruinous or at least abandoned buildings, all amongst dark, weedy greenery under overcast skies. It’s like I capture (or perhaps move through, when everyone else walks through the quotidian sunshine) a generic version of the Upside Down.
